I am 28 this year and aim to build up my portfolio. My motivation as a young dad in Singapore is to provide a better life for my family while planning for retirement.
I started my investment journey over a year ago and continue to passively invest in the market. The impetus for 'Financial Independence' really kick-started after I read Dave Ramsey's 'Total Money Makeover' in early 2020. This was a call to action for me to take my finances really seriously.
sgFIDad will continue to be my little work-in-progress project and I hope to share my shortcomings and lessons learnt for anyone out there starting on their investment/FIRE journey in Singapore. I also hope to learn together with you!
